Copywriting for Wedding Venues and Vendors
“being a business owner is easy”
“I have SO MUCH free time”
“I have way too many clients”
… said no one, ever.
Being a business owner today can feel like everything is stacked against you.
It’s no secret that there’s stiff competition in every industry—from venues to vendors—and standing out online is more important now than ever. In today's virtual-everything world, your clients aren’t choosing the chapel down the road and the photographer they went to school with; they’re finding you on Google. So if your website isn’t search-engine optimized, that’s a missed opportunity. And paycheck.
If you don’t have a site—or if your site isn’t optimized—your main options for client acquisition are paid advertising and social media.
But here’s the problem: on directories like Wedding Wire and The Knot, clients are encouraged to look at multiple businesses that are all limited to following the same guidelines. It’s much harder for you to stand out. On top of that, social media algorithms change all the time and small platform updates can tank your engagement overnight.
Your website puts the control back into your hands.
But a website isn’t the end of your marketing strategy—it’s the beginning.
A wedding business copywriter can help you:
Write website copy and blog posts that bring in qualified leads and close sales.
Send emails that nurture clients to take the next step in the customer journey.
Create a well-rounded marketing strategy with custom recommendations for you.
Don’t do it all alone.
how can working with a copywriter help my wedding business?
Evidence-based marketing techniques build your relationship with clients and spark interest in your services.
A copywritten, search-engine optimized website works for you, so you never have to seek out new clients again.
Compelling calls-to-action in every piece are the key to the results you want. Copy is written with one goal in mind: conversion.
I write concise, convincing, and considerate copy. And I think copy should be quiet. When we read great copywriting, we don’t even notice it. Working with me is like having an expert sales writer with an invisibility cloak hanging out on your webpage or in your emails. Your clients won’t even know I’m there.
Let’s make clients fall in love again—with your business.
I specialize in wedding industry copywriting for venues, photographers, videographers, wedding planners, and more—but I’m open to working with businesses across industries. Conversion-centered copywriting techniques help every kind of business grow.
If you like my vibe but don’t fit my specialty, reach out to me and we can still make magic happen.

Portfolio
Hey, I’m Rachel.
A copywriter in Austin, TX, Keeping It Weird with you no matter where in the country you are. I’m a lover of good food, long naps, and all things wedding, writing, and wine.
I started out as an elementary school teacher and special educator. My ability to engage others with writing comes directly from my time in the classroom. (Turns out, kids don’t inherently enjoy finding the theme of a standardized reading passage, or converting fractions to decimals.) For my own survival, I learned how to engage even the most uninterested audience…fast. That experience helps me offer killer copywriting for wedding businesses today.
Why do I love copywriting for wedding businesses?
I’m an eager bride-to-be enjoying a long-term engagement and planning my own Greatest Show On Earth circa 2023. I also worked at America’s largest bridal-store chain, David’s Bridal, during the prom season that ballgowns came back. I don’t think my biceps will ever forgive me for it, but nothing beat seeing a bride step into her dream dress.
Like you, I do what I do for one reason: I like making people happy. I work alongside like-minded business owners with the goal of putting more good into the world. I use marketing techniques in my writing that calm—not stir up—fears, evoke emotions for the right reasons, and connect clients to services that will truly help them have the best day of their lives.
